City Teaching Alliance was founded with the idea that talented, highly-prepared, career educators can open the doors to future success for city school children.
Our teachers receive a master’s degree from our higher education partner and become dually certified to teach in either elementary education, secondary English or secondary math, and special education. We offer more comprehensive coursework and personalized support than any other teacher training program.

An initial residency year of paid classroom experience and a full-time, full-salaried teaching position starting in Year 2.

Select applicants advance directly to the final interview, while some will have a supplemental phone interview between September 28th and October 3rd.
All applicants must submit a copy of their undergraduate transcripts and two recommenders before your final interview.
Participate in a 90-minute virtual interview with members of the City Teaching Alliance community between October 11th and October 14th.
Alumni benefit greatly from completing their four-year commitment. Over the course of that time, they have been trained and instructed in urban schools, received one-one-coaching and mentoring, and built a solid and supportive network of peers.
