Criteria for Program Eligibility

Admissions

Prospective educators must:

  • Earn a bachelor’s degree by June 2024.
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • City Teaching Alliance can only accept applicants who are a citizen or national of the United States, permanent resident of the United States, or a DACA recipient.
Criteria for Program Eligibility

International Students

  • Applicants with a degree from a foreign university must have their transcript evaluated course-by-course and translated into English by a recognized agency.
  • The only exception would be degrees or credits earned at a Canadian higher education institution. We do not require an international course-by-course evaluation if (1) the transcript is in English, and (2) the institution is a member of Universities Canada [formerly the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC)] or other accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.

Transcripts and Evaluations

  • The following agencies report that they are open and conducting evaluations now. Due to extensive delays and service disruptions, we strongly encourage that applicants make arrangements with one of these agencies, and allow a minimum of 8-10 weeks to obtain a completed evaluation.
