City Teaching Alliance Admissions Process

  • Online Application
    • Upload a copy of your resume and answer the two prompts to submit your application by January 16, 2024, with an offer date of February 12.
  • Meet with a Recruiter
    • All applicants are encouraged to meet with a recruiter before pressing submit on their application to have a better understanding of what it means to join the alliance.
  • Phone Interview
    • Select applicants advance directly to the final interview, while some will have a supplemental phone interview between January 18th and January 23rd.
  • Submit Application Materials
    • All applicants must submit a copy of their undergraduate transcripts and two recommenders before your final interview.
  • Final Interview
    • Participate in a 90-minute virtual interview with members of the City Teaching Alliance community between January 31st and February 12th.
Criteria for Program Eligibility

Admissions

Prospective educators must:

  • Earn a bachelor’s degree by June 2024.
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • City Teaching Alliance can only accept applicants who are a citizen or national of the United States, permanent resident of the United States, or a DACA recipient.
Criteria for Program Eligibility

International Students

  • Applicants with a degree from a foreign university must have their transcript evaluated course-by-course and translated into English by a recognized agency.
  • The only exception would be degrees or credits earned at a Canadian higher education institution. We do not require an international course-by-course evaluation if (1) the transcript is in English, and (2) the institution is a member of Universities Canada [formerly the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC)] or other accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
