Our Allies in Education

We partner with schools that share our vision and are passionate about helping students thrive.

Schools We Work With

City Teaching Alliance partners with schools and districts to prepare, support, and retain educators while strengthening local workforce pathways.

A School-Based Approach to Teacher Preparation

City Teaching Alliance partners with universities to help aspiring educators earn master’s degrees while they teach and develop the knowledge, skills, credentials, and professional habits needed for lasting careers in education.

We bring the educator-workforce perspective: rigorous classroom-based preparation, coaching, certification support, care-centered services, employer engagement, and deep connection to the communities where educators live and work.

Why become a partner?

Partnering with City Teaching Alliance means gaining access to a pipeline of prepared, passionate, and equity-driven educators committed to your school community.

Our model is designed not just to fill vacancies, but to build long-term instructional capacity and improve student outcomes. This ensures that students, teachers, and school communities can thrive.

  • Strong Teacher Pipeline
Year 1 Fellows bring instructional support to classrooms from day one and continue teaching in your school for years to come, helping reduce turnover and strengthen school culture.
  • Flexible School-Based Support
From Tier 2 intervention to summer programs and substitute coverage, our participants offer flexible, skilled support aligned to your school’s needs.
  • Leadership Development at All Levels
Each Year 1 Fellow receives three years of expert coaching, evolving into teacher leaders. Mentor teachers also report growth in their own practice through the mentorting experience.
  • Long-Term Workforce Development
Build a pathway that connects early-career preparation to retention, leadership development, and a stronger local education workforce.
  • A Care-Centered Approach
Help create conditions where educators feel prepared, connected, supported, and equipped to stay in the profession.
  • Great educators help other educators thrive

Mentor teachers are essential partners in the City Teaching Alliance experience. They create space for aspiring educators to observe, practice, reflect, receive feedback, and learn what effective teaching looks like in real classrooms.

Mentoring is also a professional-learning opportunity. By coaching, modeling practice, and reflecting alongside a Fellow, mentor teachers can deepen their own instructional leadership and contribute to a stronger profession.

More than placement. A partnership built for long-term capacity

The relationship between a school community and an educator begins long before a person leads their own classroom.

Through partnership with City Teaching Alliance, schools and districts can help aspiring educators learn in real school environments, receive coaching and support, build meaningful relationships, and develop the skills to become strong career educators.

Our goal is not only to support immediate staffing needs. It is to help partners build instructional capacity, strengthen educator retention, and create a more reliable pipeline of professionals committed to care for their communities.

Is your school a good fit?

Partnership begins with shared expectations. We seek school and district partners that are committed to strong instruction, educator development, student success, and supportive learning environments.
