City Teaching Alliance Admissions Process

Online Application
- Upload a copy of your resume and answer the two prompts to submit your application by March 30th.
Meet with a Recruiter
- Meet with a recruiter before pressing submit on your application to gain a better understanding of what it means to join the alliance.

Submit Application Materials
- Submit a copy of your undergraduate transcripts and two recommenders before the final interview.
Final Interview
- Participate in a 90-minute virtual interview and deliver a mock teaching lesson to your interviewers, between April 7th through April 17th.

Criteria for Program Eligibility

Admissions

Prospective educators must:

Earn a bachelor’s degree by June 2026.
Have a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
City Teaching Alliance can only accept applicants who are a citizen or national of the United States, permanent residents of the United States, or a DACA recipient.

Criteria for Program Eligibility

International Students

Applicants with a degree from a foreign university must have their transcript evaluated course-by-course and translated into English by a recognized agency.
The only exception would be degrees or credits earned at a Canadian higher education institution. We do not require an international course-by-course evaluation if (1) the transcript is in English, and (2) the institution is a member of Universities Canada [formerly the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC)] or other accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.

International Students

Transcripts and Evaluations

The following agencies report that they are open and conducting evaluations now. Due to extensive delays and service disruptions, we strongly encourage that applicants make arrangements with one of these agencies, and allow a minimum of 8-10 weeks to obtain a completed evaluation.

Once you submit this survey, the City Teaching Alliance Admissions team will evaluate your request and determine what accommodations are appropriate for the admissions process. If needed, we will communicate this information with you prior to your interview.
