City Teaching Alliance Expands Leadership Team with Three New Executive Directors

BALTIMORE (Oct. 27, 2025) – City Teaching Alliance is proud to announce three new Executive Directors joining its regional leadership team to strengthen the organization’s impact in Dallas, Greater DC, and Baltimore. These appointments mark a new chapter in advancing City Teaching Alliance’s mission to prepare, support, and retain exceptional career educators who make a lasting impact in urban schools.

Dr. Alexes Terry has been named Executive Director of City Teaching Alliance–Dallas. Since joining the organization in 2022, Dr. Terry has strengthened coursework, coaching, and partnerships across the region. Her steady leadership and deep commitment to excellence have helped Dallas become one of City Teaching Alliance’s fastest-growing and highest-performing regions.

Anthony Dorado will serve as Executive Director of City Teaching Alliance–Greater DC Metro. A proud City Teaching Alliance alumnus, Dorado brings a wealth of experience as a classroom teacher, coach, and program leader across Honduras and Washington, D.C. His proven track record in teacher retention and family engagement makes his return to the region where his educational journey began especially meaningful.

Dr. Kimberly Washington joins as Executive Director of City Teaching Alliance–Baltimore & Central Maryland. With more than a decade of experience developing strong school leadership pipelines, Dr. Washington previously served as Executive Director of Programs at New Leaders, Inc. and as a principal in both Prince George’s County and Baltimore City. She brings both vision and lived understanding of what equitable leadership looks like in action.

“These three leaders exemplify what makes City Teaching Alliance unique—deep roots in classrooms, a belief in rigorous preparation, and a commitment to community partnership,” said Dr. Rahesha Amon, Chief Executive Officer of City Teaching Alliance. “Their collective experience and passion for equity will ensure our fellows, alumni, and partners continue to thrive and grow.”

Each Executive Director will oversee all regional operations, partnerships, and fellow success in their respective markets, ensuring alignment with City Teaching Alliance’s Signature Approach, which integrates coaching, clinical residency, coursework, certification, and community engagement.
