Alliance Newsletter

FROM DR. RAHESHA AMON, CEO

Dear Friends and Partners,

I am thrilled to announce that City Teaching Alliance’s 2024 Annual Report is now live on our website! In this year’s report, we reflect on the remarkable milestones we’ve achieved, from serving over 400,000 students to preparing more than 2,500 aspiring educators, as we celebrate 15 years of impact. But resting on our laurels is not in our DNA. The report also outlines how we’re looking ahead, fueled by our commitment to Sustainability, Scale, and Support – the three pillars that drive us closer to our long-term goals and help us achieve our mission.

Co-creating the future of education alongside partners like you is a core focus of our work to build the Alliance. With your support, our organization remains financially secure, and I hope you’ll find inspiration in the work ahead, just as I do. Together, we’re establishing a more equitable and responsive educational landscape, driven by a shared commitment to transforming lives and communities.

Save the Date: Giving Tuesday is December 3rd! Leading up to and during this Giving Tuesday, your gift to City Teaching Alliance will go even further. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, every contribution will be doubled, amplifying your impact on students and teachers alike. Follow us on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook to stay updated and help us spread the word!

To our community of supporters, friends, and donors: you are key to the success we celebrate today. Thank you for your continued commitment to co-creating the future of education with us. Please feel free to share this newsletter with friends, and reply to this email if you’d like to connect.

Dr. Rahesha Amon
CEO, City Teaching Alliance

Championing Equity: Black Educators Initiative Showcase

On October 22, members of our community gathered for a virtual event, Championing Equity: Black Educators Initiative Showcase and Q&A. The event cultivated an open, authentic dialogue alongside opportunities for connection for 45 attendees as they learned more about our Black Educators Initiative (BEI), and included a panel featuring City Teaching Alliance Alumni from Dallas, DC, and Baltimore. Participants shared their experiences and discussed the importance of our program for Black educators, which is celebrating five years of impact! Learn more about BEI here.

We hope you will stay connected with us, our students, our educators, and our schools as we – and our growing network of powerful practitioners – continue to learn, innovate, and co-create the future of teaching and learning in our communities.

We never share our mailing lists with outside organizations.

Please help us grow our City Teaching Alliance family by sharing this newsletter with your friends, business partners, and community thought leaders!
